Garage, Cupola, Garden house

Western view of my old house

Garage 1998

In the summer of 1998, I decided to re-side and re-roof the garage to "mimic" the house, as well as build a cupola. I stripped off old siding from the garage, added clapboard and trim reflecting the house, as well as add some tiles of birds collected from around the world

A new garage door was installed in 2013. As part of an "update" in 2014 I repainted the garage and its cupola and completely renovated the garden house.

Garden house 1999 - 2000

One thing led to another, and by 1999 a garden house was added to the project. I scavenged around and found all the windows including the bay, used up some spare timber, and insulated everything. It was fun to take the project from start to finish with my own crude skills without any "assistance".

Competed in 2000 and the interior contained my first collection of Japanese maples. These succeeded a couple years then all passed.

Renovated garden house 2014
In 2014 I rebuilt the structure to correct drainage issues at the corners
and repainted the garage and its cupola.

For the interior I re-painted several times to get the color scheme just so, then added these tiles and mirror for a fun addition.
