Beijing, China,
November 16 - 30, 1999
Chinese friends:
We journey not only to get to know others, but also that
others get to know us. My host family is at the top of this montage.
- They
transported, translated, toured.
- They opened their lives to me that I get to
know them, and Beijing. Meals were singular occasions for discussions and
socializing.
- They, and other friends, were ready and willing accomplices to
my experiencing the cuisines of China.
- They were academics, managers, even a
retired diplomat who conversed with me in French. I even meet the
(Minneapolis) Director of St. Thomas' International Management Program in
Beijing!
Each new friend has a special place, special memory for me.
Unfortunately, here the digital photography seemed at its worst.
