Beijing, China,
November 16 - 30, 1999
Imperial Palace, Confucius
Temple, Ming Tombs, Buddhist temples
Of course November is not the ideal time to
tour a northern garden. The Summer Palace is huge, and includes more
temples, residences, a covered, open-air walkway with a thousand paintings,
a lake, a royal "shopping district", and even a marble boat. The bus takes
about 45 minutes, and a wandering tour a couple days. I ran out of battery
power for pictures, but the first page photo is from there.
